Phil- You've created a truly marvelous retreat, and a very special place. I can't believe the amount of wildlife we've seen in our week here! Your staff is just superb- they've been more than gracious & very helpful (despite our limited Spanish). We're really sorry to leave- but hope to be back in the not too distant future

People often say to us, Oh, you're so lucky, you live in an island paradise.Well, if we live in an island paradise, this must be the bloody Elysian Fields! Without sounding too cliched Phil, this place must truly be one of the limited wonders of the world! An incredible place! I' m sorry, but I really won't be telling a helluva lot of people about it, why spoil it with the masses ! Everybody we met was fantastic & exceptionally helpful including, Gilberto & Ayvid (the best); Lionel the guide; Tom Kayak; Arjuna and of course Isabel & Ismail who met us and saw us off, sadly. Also Derek & Simon filled us in on all the "local news" ! We saw it all, every bird, animal (except the jaguar & anteater) and flotsam. We saw a deer this morning outside the bedroom- we were just so lucky! Anyway, I hear the cab coming, so I have to go. See you in the not so distant future.

We can't say enough about this place! Phil and Kim are absolutely wonderfu l. Phil is a superb cook- we ate like Kings and Queens. We saw more wildlife around the house than we did anywhere else. Tim caught a sailfish which was the highlight of his adventure. We love you guys- and will be back!

Daniel, Eden, Kayla, and the one on the way want to say what a great time we had at your place. The food was great, loved the salads, rice dishes, banana pancakes, eggs, chicken, and of course the chocolate chip cookies, brownies, flan, carrot cake, pizzas, fresh breads. Really enjoyed eating for two!! We hiked down the Pacific Trail, swam in the tidal pools, hung out by the largest shower waterfall. Daniel surfed Carate by morning and Matapalo for the late afternoons This was our fourth trip to Costa Rica, but our first trip to Bosque. We had such a good time we are sure to come back. The grounds are lovely, and the atmosphere and friends great

Phil has really laid out a spread for us. I was a $51 a night economy traveler until I heard about Bosque from everyone on the Osa, so I decided to stay here a night to treat myself- I 've been here ever since- many great day hikes, followed by great food, music, & company. As a biologist, I was bound for Corcovado National Park, but there is as much here as there, so I've felt no need to leave. I'm ready to move in! Toucans, macaws, monkeys, & lots more!

Our time here at Bosque del Cabo was beautiful. There were no Mondays, Tuesdays, etc. there was no late night t.v. We measured our time by the great people that came and left, by the animals, birds, amphibians, and insects we happened to see on any given day. I still hate mosquitoes, but feel great joy at having been a part of this remote experience. Thank you!

Bosque del Cabo exceeded all my expectations. The profusion of nature, the fabulous views, sounds, not to mention the food (!) and the people. You have a little bit of Eden here in the Osa. I felt I was staying in someone's home, it was excellent.

Now I understand why he was so in love with this place, the food, location, and grounds are wonderful. We had an AMAZING trip here. Ryan wanted to see a cat, and a margay obliged on our last night- in a tree below our cabina in the rain. Thanks for the great hikes, warm welcome and information, delicious food, and great service. The hike down to the cave is a must- we were awed by it. Other highlights were the coati family that enjoyed the fruit in the tree near our cabin, the babies were so cute. We were awakened by the howler monkeys one morning and the spider monkeys threw fruit pits at us. It's been like living in a National Geographic Special. Muchas gracias!

Dear Phil- When I asked Danny if he preferred fly fishing in Quebec, or butterfly catching in the rainforests of Latin America, he said, " Rainforests" without hesitating, "are way more exotic!" was his reply. Our summer adventure together here was beyond our imagining. The air (and our nets) has been filled with dozens of species of tropical butterflies, bright blue morphoes, literally thousands of flying flower blossoms. Thanks to all for your help and hospitality in making this wonderful place possible.
