All international flights come into Costa Rica through the Juan Santamaria Airport, in San Jose. There are daily flights on many major airlines, including Continental, Delta, United, and Lacsa/Grupo Taca (the national airline of Costa Rica). Once you get to San Jose, there are two ways you can get down to Puerto Jimenez, by air or by land.

There are two commercial airlin es that have daily flights from San Jose down to Puerto Jimenez, Sansa and Nature Air. You can also charter a private plane to take you down. We will be happy to take care of all of your travel reservations inside

If you do want us to book your flights please send full names of all passengers (and ag es of children, if the r es ervation includ es children) and send possible second options for flight times (in case your initial options are already booked). Sansa Airlines

All Sansa Flights depart and arrive at the International Juan Santamaria Airport (Sansa is in a separate terminal at the end of the airport). Check-in time for flights is 45 minut es before departure time. The Sansa luggage allowance is a maximum of 25 pounds per passenger including carry on, excess luggage will be charge at $0.56 per pound and any extra luggage is subject to space (meaning that if the flight is very full Sansa has the right to send excess luggage down on a later flight). Sansa may refuse luggage on the basis of excessive volume or for safety reasons. Sansa can handle a maximum of two (6’9¨feet maximum length) surfboards per flight and they charge $10 each way per surfboard.

Bosque del Cabo will require a credit card to make r es ervations on Sansa. We will send confirmations and a Sansa release form once we have a confirmation from Sansa. We just need our gu es ts to fill out this form and send it back to us (fax or e-mail). The credit card will ONLY be used to hold your flight reservation, we will not charge your card unl es s you make a late cancellation or change. We will charge you for the full price of the tickets when you check out at the lodge. Cash or Traveler’s Checks is required for Sansa tickets (this is the only form of payment that is accepted by Sansa).

Nature Air is located in the Tobias Bolaños Airport (also known locally as the Pavas Airport ), 4 mil es from downtown San Jose and 9 mil es from Juan Santamaria International Airport . Check-in time for flights is 45 minut es before departure time. The maximum luggage allowance is 25 lbs. per person including carry-on. Exc es s luggage will be charged at $0.55 per pound and exc es s luggage is subject to space. Oversized items such as surfboards and bicycles are subject to space and whether they fit in the baggage compartment. The fee for oversized items is $15/item each way. Nature Air may refuse luggage on the basis of excessive volume or for safety reasons. Nature Air can handle a maximum of two (maximum 6’9¨feet) surfboards per flight.

Bosque del Cabo will require a credit card to make reservations on Nature Air. We will send confirmations and a Nature Air credit card authorization form once we have a confirmation from Nature Air that your flight is confirmed. We just need our guests to fill out this form and send it back to us (fax or e-mail). Nature Air will charge your credit card in advance. We will send you flight confirmations once we get them.
